In a surprise announcement, Clay Millican confirmed that his Knoll Gas Motorsports/SinFuel Choppers/Torco Racing Fuels Top Fuel dragster will be at the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville this weekend. The decision was made largely due to the team's success at recent testing in Valdosta, Ga.
For the first time in more than 18 years, Gainesville resident, business owner, and drag racing champ Frank Hawley will be among those to compete at Gainesville Raceway in the ACDelco NHRA Gatornationals. Hawley, a two-time NHRA Funny Car world champ, is the proprietor of Frank Hawley's NHRA Drag Racing School, headquartered at the racetrack, and a past Gatornationals winner.
